Chris studied osteopathy on a four-year, full-time course in Maidstone, UK, under a great osteopath, John Wernham, who had been a student of John Martin Littlejohn, himself a student of Andrew Taylor Still, the discoverer of Osteopathy. It was a privilege to be taught by the successor to such a lineage, with personal stories from the roots of the profession, a very thorough education in a traditional approach to osteopathy, a thorough grounding in medical sciences and clinical methods. After qualifying in 1989, Chris established his practice, treating with this traditional approach to osteopathy, which steers body, mind and spirit towards a greater sense of ease, free movement, equilibrium and stability. He developed a broad patient-base in the UK, with special interests in treatment during pregnancy, for infants and children, and osteopathy for general health. With a deep thirst for a greater understanding and need to share, he added to his busy practice a career in teaching classical osteopathy at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels as well as lecturing at conferences worldwide. Since 2000, he has been Secretary and Director of Education of the Institute of Classical Osteopathy.

Stefanie is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in the College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO).

As a Naturopathic Doctor, I love to incorporate the best available evidence with traditional methods to enhance each patient’s health and deliver the highest quality of care. I act as a bridge between the conventional medical team and natural medicine – helping you navigate the system, while enhancing your care to achieve your best level of wellbeing possible. I am passionate about optimizing health and managing chronic disease, with a special interest in women’s health, fertility, hormonal balance and breast cancer. Since these conditions have touched the lives of loved ones, I have a very personal understanding of the challenges and struggles involved. My individualized approach addresses the specific needs of my patients as I work closely with them to achieve their health goals.

After graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, I was accepted into the competitive Clinical Residency program. This placed me back in the heart of evidence-based naturopathic medicine and research. My research into adjunctive breast cancer care was selected for presentation at the 2015 CAND – Health Fusion Conference in Calgary, Alberta, which was an exciting experience for me. I have been able to continue my work at the College by lecturing in Clinical Medicine on topics such as Breast Concerns and Pelvic Pain, as well as supervising interns in the teaching clinic. I am also a teaching assistant for acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Prior to moving to Toronto, I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a High Honours Bachelors of Science in Physiology. I was involved in innovative research in neuroscience, endocrinology and reproduction. I also received highest academic achievement in Physiology from St.Thomas Moore College, University of Saskatchewan. I now focus my problem-solving skills on the complexity of hormonal health in women – a key component in managing women’s health, fertility and breast cancer. I have been described as a dedicated and caring doctor who is committed to the wellbeing of her patients, and I take great pride in this.

Outside the office, you are likely to find me walking outdoors with a pile of research papers tucked under my arm, listening to a podcast (I’m an addict) and possibly some paint splashes on my fingers. I love tinkering in my potted garden and doing crafts – an homage to my country girl roots! I hope that by sharing my light-hearted and caring nature with my patients that it inspires them to create a more balanced, healthy lifestyle for themselves.

I’ve always known that I belonged in some form of health care making a difference and treating patients. After receiving my Honours Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Toronto, I found myself at a crossroads. While I wanted to medically treat patients, I felt conventional medicine, personally left something to be desired….

I became aware of Naturopathic Medicine and the idea that this form of medicine emphasized treating every patient as a unique individual and through natural means.

I obtained my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). This intense 4-year training included completing a one-year internship at the Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic.

In addition, I completed an internship at the Parkdale Community Health Centre, where I was privileged to have the opportunity to offer naturopathic services to members of the community in need.

I am strongly dedicated to not only effectively treating my patients but also to educating them about their conditions and how they can act to maintain optimal health and prevent further issues. I believe that it is my job to empower my patients and inspire them to take a more pro-active approach in regards to their health.

I am committed to working with my patients and having them achieve their own personal goals. I am trained in and often use different naturopathic modalities such as acupuncture, botanical medicine, nutrition, homeopathy, bodywork and lifestyle modifications.

A particular interest of mine is treating mental health issues such as stress, anxiety and depression. I am a big advocate of mind-body medicine and have received additional training in Holistic Counseling.

I am a member of both the Canadian and Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND and OAND) and am registered with the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy – Naturopathy (BDDT-N).
